During the month of October we are hosting a "piggy" to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This is one of Local Flair Magazine's fund-raising efforts, and is called "Feed the Piggy". The piggy was created at Poke-A-Nose Pottery who is donating 50% of the proceeds to The Susan G. Komen Foundation. 100% of the "food" deposited in our piggy will be donated to the foundation. It's Autumn in Northeast Pennsylvania! Don't forget to plant your spring flowering bulbs now! Daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, crocus and iris are all planted in the fall. Plant according to instructions and don't forget to fertilize with bone meal or a bulb specific fertilizer.
